ABOUT Mindy

Mindy Zhong, M.A., is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and offers a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy.

Mindy provides individual, couples, and family counselling, and is especially passionate about helping clients strengthen their relationship with themselves — the foundation for deeper connection with others. She works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, or emotional overwhelm, creating a safe space for healing and growth.

Her training includes a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These diverse tools allow Mindy to tailor her approach to your unique needs and goals.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH:
Mindy believes that meaningful change begins with a strong, trusting connection between client and counsellor. She creates a warm, collaborative environment where you can feel safe, seen, and supported — whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or deep-rooted emotional pain.

Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in emotional exploration. By working at your pace, Mindy helps you better understand your emotional world, build self-compassion, and develop practical tools to cope with stress, communicate more effectively, and move through life with greater resilience.

Mindy works not only with individuals, but also with couples and families — helping to repair connection, deepen understanding, and foster healthier relational dynamics.
